Parque Gentil

Parque Gentil stands as a testament to poetical and political discourse within the 3rd BA InSitu3 art residency in Portugal.

This installation, melding the rawness of construction materials and composed of five structures blending with found objects, materials that survived from the fires and creates "artificial gardens" on the first floor of Ponte d'Arte residency space. Here, Manuela's vision transcends aesthetics, offering a space for meditation and contemplation that challenges societal norms and beckons a deeper political engagement.

In this rural Portuguese setting, the installation not only invites reflection but also embodies collective grief. Collecting from It intertwines personal and political, transforming grief into a catalyst for action. Parque Gentil redefines the art residency as a nexus of artistic exploration and socio-political dialogue. It becomes a medium for narratives that surpass borders, inviting participants to join a discourse that renews empathy, awareness
